Description
A scenario involving the German Empire pursuing good relations with Russia instead of Austria-Hungary. This leads to a Quadruple Alliance consisting of Russia, Romania, Germany, and Italy. In response to this, Austria-Hungary, France, and the Ottoman Empire form the Triple Entente. In 1914, Franz Ferdinand is killed, resulting in war between the two alliances. Germany invades Belgium, causing the UK to join the war. Austria-Hungary, being surrounded on all sides, is defeated in 1916. After that, France and the Ottomans both got knocked out in 1917. The UK decides to surrender shortly after. Austria-Hungary is split among the victors, and the Ottomans are left with a Turkish rump state. Belgium is made a German puppet, and France loses land in the north and east. Both France and the UK lose a substantial amount of their colonies. Constantinople and the Suez Canal become demilitarized zones for 5 years.
