Didn't think I was gonna make something SAD with Discord, ey?
Good thing Pinkie was there to cheer him up. 
And it was fun to practice with sad emotions.

Omg this is... So damn cute and precious it literally almost made me cry. Since Pinkie is my favorite pony and more like a embodiment of my own personality I really feel connected to this. To see her show compassion to Discord really made me have a general sense of just how much I can relate to something like that. One thing I hate is to see anyone cry for any reason.
Kudos to you! This is beyond awesome! Insta fave. lol DEFINITELY ALL THE FEELS!

"I knew that already. It's just... You never really seemed to care about me."
"(ears perk up) Discord, of course I care about you! Why would you think I don't?"
"well, you're always at my throat about stuff."

"you think that just because of a few spats that I hate your guts? That's retard talk, and I don't even know what a retard is!"

"(her hoof is shaking as she tries to touch his shoulder) Discord..."
"(says nothing, turns back for only a moment)"
"Discord, is that why you're upset?"
"(Nods) I could never rely on others as a child. They would always run off before I could say what I needed. That's why I'm so tough, I guess."
"psh. You're not tough. You're a big marshmallow softie! (Pounces on him, tickles him)"
"(flails around, laughs uncontrollably) st-stop it! I-I can't breathe!"
"(stops tickling him) could I cheer you back up or what?"
"(a smile appears on his face, this time genuine. He hugs her tight around the chest) thank you..."
"(gently pushes him off) you wanna come in for cupcakes?"

I could see Discord crying a lot for a moment, probably when younger. I have a thought and want to talk about Twilight here though. Here:
I found a bit unfair when Twilight was trying to make herself distanced from her friends-to-be and gain them with ease. From the beginning I technically thought she was worst at socialising out there out of the poinies presented in the show. Twilight made 0 effort with the relationships and became friends with the rest of 5 ponies. It's like the 5 friends put themselves into being friend with her but not herself. I also thought that her previous friends would have been bad friends if she had before, she had, but no, it's oddly was still her trouble, her previous friends /were/ decent as friends at some point or another. Twilight was a pony with close relationships and then she gained friendship with any no trouble. I can think that Discord had the reverse trouble than Twilight would have (and I might think she hadn't had trouble, it's just she was getting much too "blind", "deaf" and stubborn, what were her reasons or not is still unknown. It's maybe just simply the bad road takes some people, even when they do or do not relise that for themselves or not).

(That absolutely miserable look on his face...it's too much to bear. 
Pinkie Pie was hopping along, minding her own business. But she froze when she suddenly heard a noise. It sounded like...crying.
Instantly concerned, Pinkie Pie walked around the corner to see who it was. To her dismay, she saw Discord of all creatures, sobbing with his hands to his face.
Pinkie Pie walked up to him, a look of worry on her face. She was not used to seeing Discord so...vulnerable.
She poked his tail gently. "Discord...?"
He uncovered his eyes and looked at her. There was despair in those red eyes. "...P-Pinkie...?"
Pinkie Pie hung onto Discord's tail. "Why are you crying?"
Discord quickly snatched his tail out of her grasp and turned away, covering his entire face again. "...L-Leave me alone..."
Pinkie Pie didn't give up however. A true friend helps a friend in need.
She walked around Discord until she could see his face, which he still covered with his hands. Pinkie Pie felt tears forming in her own eyes. She hated seeing her friend like this.
With new determination, she grabbed his hands and firmly but gently pulled them away from his face. "Discord...listen."
Discord had no choice but to pay attention to Pinkie. The miserable look on his tear-soaked face was almost soul-crushing.
Pinkie Pie smiled sincerely. "You don't have to tell me what's wrong if you don't want to. But I do want you to turn that frown upside down. I don't like seeing you so sad, and I'm pretty sure you don't like being so sad. As your friend, I'm here for you, Discord. Always."
Pinkie Pie took her hooves from Discord's hands. He let Pinkie Pie's words sink in. He took her message to heart, and eventually a genuine smile formed on his face. "...Thank you, Pinkie Pie. You are a wonderful friend."
Pinkie Pie embraced Discord, and he hugged her right back.

In fact, I'll do a thing on that right now.
I was wandering the streets of Ponyville, struggling to remember where to go and how to get there. Then I heard something like crying, but... No. Everyone's happy in this place, right? Nevertheless, I turn my head around the corner, and, guess who? I saw his long, noodly back slumped over. I snuck over, trying not to disturb him. Then, that urge inside of me came to visit. The urge to help. But instead of talking to him, which is the rational thing to do, I gave him a tight squeeze around the chest. Within moments, he noticed, and looked my way. I looked up, staring into his red, wet eyes.
"Wh-ho are you?" he asked, his voice shaky.
"Don't you remember me?Only human in Equestria?" I didn't dare let go. He shook his head no. I kept hugging him for a few minutes, until I asked him the inevitable question. "What's wrong?"
"I don't want to talk about it."
"Please? I won't be mad. Just tell me what happened."
"I said I don't want to talk about it!" His voice sounded sharp, more like anger than sadness. I let go.
"Okay, Discord. I can see when I'm not wanted..." I turned my back, walking to the shed I call home.
The next day, I was still navigating all the winding, branching, dirt roads of this small town. I came across Discord again, only, this time, I let him be. My heart ached but I knew that if he was upset, I should let him sort it out. Well, I didn't move. I watched him from the corner, to see if I would hear him rambling about what went down. But when I saw him, on all fours, using a claw to hold a gun up to his head, I knew I had to do something. I took the gun, and we wrestled until the trigger went off on me. it shot me in the gut, bringing me to my feet, and knocking me out... he took care of me until I was well, and I started to get feelings for him.
