Description Here is my take on the red engine. Winston the Midland Engine. Yes, he has the same name as WildNorWester's version. But is an entirely different take other than the name. I might not do Winston digitally for a while since I'm trying to think of what scenario he should be in. So here's the backstory:

Winston was built in the early 20th century as a contract to a loan company which was experimenting on having loan engines which can go out to anyone needing one across the British Isles. It wasn't a success, however, the first loan for the business was the NWR and Sir Bertram Topham Hatt took pity on the situation and decided to keep loaning the engine. It would be later that the engine was later called 'The Soaring Eagle' after being chased in the middle of the night by a rouge German aircraft in WW1. He would go by the name Eagle for short.

It wasn't until 1973, when the loaning company decided to sell Eagle for scrap to cut costs. However, Sir Charles Topham Hatt, the second Fat Controller, decided to buy him. However, heavy legal action was made and Eagle lost his signs. But to replace his old name, Charles had his new engine renamed after his grandfather, Winston Topham Hatt, it was arranged and Eagle then became Winston and the NWR No.13.

Since the early 1920s, bigger tender engines have come to the railway making Winston less needed, so when the Kirk Ronen line was in need of an engine, Winston offered his services and has remained as head of that branch line ever since.

That's really it, but to describe Winston's personality: He's quiet and a hard worker, helping anyone who needs it. Still heavily impatient and has a strict method of doing things. Simple but he's really just a nice guy. Hope you like this one!

Winston is a based of a Furness Railway D5 goods with an added pony truck in front of him to see whether he would it would be an improvement, wasn't deemed successful but the modifications were never taken off.
