Description
So this costume is the result of about 70-80 hours of work not including dry time. It was my very first attempt at making anything substantial out of foam, and I literally owe all my success to Evil Ted 's extentive video tutorial library, as well as Storm the Castle , and Cosplay Prop Stop .I learned more once I actually wore the thing for eight hours. Foam. is. hell. to wear. It was 60°F most of the day, and I was still sweating like a pig. I tore my sabatons up proper, because I never did a walk test, and I had to figure out how to lift my feet so as to not scrape the toes. I made both my gauntlets and my greaves too tall, and wasn't able to bend my arms or legs very well, and my gorget collar was too tall, and prevented me from turning my head very far. My peripheral vision (already bad) sucked, and I ran into so many people with my pauldrons, and my ear fins hurt like a mother (before they cut off circulation entirely, and I stopped feeling my ears. what?), I made my skirt too long, and I didn't finish my spear (nor would it have cleared PAX's weapons policy.
But I still had a total blast.
Can't wait to make repairs for Mk. II and go save the Underground again!
Undyne = Me
