turns out the "short story" was too long to be uploaded in one go, so here's the rest!FNaF Lost: part 2
"Why did the the Chicken cross the road?" Fritz inquired, as he took a greasy bite of pizza. Samantha sipped at her Pepsi,
"I don't pretend to know much about the strange behaviour of chickens," she replied with a chuckle, "but why?"
"Because Foxy stole her cupcake," Fritz grinned
"That's terrible!"
"It's Freddy's!"
"Fair enough,"
both friends laughed. Samantha finished her Pepsi,
"I gotta go restroom, be right back!" She set down her cup and speedwalked across the restaurant, with a scathing glance at the arcade, where Fritz had just beaten her, twice, at pac-man (which Fazbear Entertainment could not have obtained legally, as the game was barely a year old.) As He watched his friend retreat, Fritz noticed that one of the red backstage doors was slightly open.
Samantha wouldn't be back for a couple of minutes, and no one seemed to be watching the door... What harm would it do to just take a quick peek? He had never seen the Freddys' animatronics up close- they had always been up on the stage singing the same, repetitive song, whenever they were active. He checked the coast was clear, cautiously made his way across to the door, and slipped inside. The lights were off in the room, but from the illumination provided by the open door, Fritz could just make out the dim shapes of Fazbear Entertainment's famous robotic trio (he supposed foxy was behind the tattered purple curtain in the corner) Chica the chicken and Bonnie the bunny were facing towards him, their dull, plastic eyes staring sightlessly at the wall behind him, however Freddy Fazbear, the man (or bear, he supposed) himself, was turned in the opposite direction.
Fritz was not certain, but he thought he could see a dim, silver-white light emitting from the animatronic bear's turned face. he took a careful step forward, to investigate. Was it his imagination, or did the light grow brighter? He took another step towards the bear. Another. There was no mistaking it now, the silverey glow was definitely strengthening, as he grew nearer. He circled the deactivated machine with trepidation, and stared into the silver eyes.
Fritz opened his mouth in a silent scream, as he toppled backwards, away from Freddy, his eyes screwed tightly shut. No. It wasn't possible... Was it? His terror, the fears he had been pushing aside all day, had become reality. The eyes he had seen, as he looked into the face of the famous animatronic had been devoid of life, overflowing with fear... and unmistakably the silver-grey eyes of his older brother.
"G-Gabriel?" He choked out, knowing full well that his brother could not hear him, wiping away tears in grief and confusion, he looked back up. His tears dried in his terror, the purple curtain was pulled back. He looked around. Two animatronics stood an arm's length behind him. Chica and foxy had moved, silently, to stand behind him. He must be dreaming then, no robot could move that quietly- but as hard as he tried to believe that this was a hallucination, a nightmare, he somehow knew that it was real.
Both animatronics stared at him with eyes, dead like his brother. With another jolt of horror, he recognised Chica's deceased blue eyes as those of Samantha's missing sister, Susie. He heard a rattling, sucking sound, as he stared in pure fear at the robots, breath? How could a robot breathe? He decided he didn't care, only wanted to escape this waking nightmare, and saw that Bonnie the rabbit, once his favourite animatronic, still had not moved, he turned to run far away from the horrible truth he had discovered- but the door was blocked by... Bonnie? He looked, fearfully, around again and saw that the blue rabbit had still not moved, it's eyes were still dull plastic, not glowing. The door clicked shut, and the last thing Fritz saw, through his tears, and by the silver light of his brother's lifeless eyes, was a yellow Bonnie, stained with red and with a maniacal grin, reaching out towards him.
