I tried to capture the emotion of walking through a place like this, at a moment when you can almost feel its spirit... and how that makes you feel... just like you mentioned on the Enlightened picture, it's deeply inspiring.

Capture the emotion... well, I think you got it. But the spirit... I hope I am not annoying you yet, but what is the spirit for you?
Whenever I am walking through a forest in fall, I have to think about a falling kingdom, coming to an end. For me, that is the essence of fall. The regime of the summer, which started in the spring, ended. And arund comes my favourite season, the winter, in which the soil and left walls rest, only for the spring to bring a new ruler, new life into the kingdom.
It would be nice, if you told me what you think is the spirit of this season.

The main thing is finding and capturing the right light and composition, of course. That was the real challenge here. Then, basically, this picture is composed of three exposures, blended together through HDR processing. Then, there are infinite options to follow from there... I just tried to avoid extreme contrasts that are usual in HDR and stay true to what i saw and felt that day.
