As much as I love how you drew Ninjor overall I think if you made the eyes more open so we could see the pupils it would look better and more intense. If you put black dots representing the eyes under the black likes you already have I think it would look way better and closer to the old animation style.
I get your going for the old style the way artists used to draw Asians but I think showing the eyes the same way they did with non-Asian characters would just improve the overall look of the character and make him more expressive since we can't see any other part of his face but the eyes.
