Description Fun Story.

I was outside yesterday, walking around my backyard, when I found this cool looking spiderweb hanging in between a hanging plant and my house. I looked closely at the plant and found a big purple-pink spider on the leaves. I tried looking around the ground for a bug to feed it.

I saw a small ant and tried to pick him up, but I noticed he was carrying a leaf of some sort. Upon closer inspection, it was not a leaf at all, but a dead spider carcass at least ten times his size! It seemed like he was having enough trouble carrying the spider uphill as it was, so I found another, bigger ant. I plucked him down in the spider's web and waited. The ant struggled, but the spider never moved. I came back later and, sure enough, the ant was being wrapped up and eaten by the spider. It's a shame I didn't see the spider make his move.

I got to wondering.... how did the ant taste? Surely the spider, who was making his web on the roof of my house, did not eat ants very often? Flies, gnats, mosquitos, and the like are what he ususally eats, I would assume. Perhaps this was a tasty treat for him, or maybe it tasted like the rest and he couldn't care either way.
