No peticular reasoning behind this character design, I just wanted make a creature with wings and I didn't want to do it with a bird so a bat was the logical choise. Kind of a misfit like the others before him he's got a entire clan of bat-people who dwell inside massive caves and cathedrals. They're not the violent type but become visious when one of their own is attacked. If anything its to portray the misunderstanding people have with creatures like the bat.
