-Bio: Neil is one of the oldest engines that has lived on Sodor, and is respected upon by every engine. He and his brothers Clive and Matthew used to run the Sodor & Mainland Railway, before it would be formed into the present Northwestern Railway. He is a wise, old sage that was described by a young Skarloey as being ugly, but kind, who is very helpful and knowledgeable to every young engine, and was one of the few along with Edward, Glynn and Riley that would mentor Thomas into pulling his own trains and handling trucks, before the latter was rewarded his branchline. But in 1930, the older engines couldn't afford to be run on the Northwestern Railway due to budget reasons from the Great Depression at the time, so some were either sold off to other railway and later preserved, but others were scrapped. Neil would end up working at a steel manufacturing mill in his country of origin, Scotland, and was lucky to be kept in service for those good 70 years, until 1996 when Neil was past his service, and was sent back to Sodor, and preserved at the Sodor Museum in Vicarstown at the Railway exhibit. but life is never dull, as the museum has afforded to keep him in steam, and on occasions he would help out with shunting if the workloads increased, but overall, this old engine has lived a long, but eventful life, and despite his ups and downs, he still manages to maintain his wisdom and charisma through even the darkest times, and is proud to maintain that history to share with others.
-Artist's Commentary: Up next is another famous Railway Series character, Neil, and I don't see why I couldn't add him, as he is a fan favorite, even though we know very little about him, except he was one of the oldest engines on Sodor, and unlike what the Thomas wiki says, he's still alive in my series, but of course, as he's an old shunter, he would have to be preserved, though I admit, when creating these bios, I make this up as I got along, but can still change it. As for my design, I'm fond of that too, as I've given him square, blocked buffers, just like his actual class, and when I upload Clive and Matthew, they're the same design too! I hope you all enjoy. More are on the way!
