Bio: Hailing from the Dean Forest Railway, and named after the late Reverend W. Awdry (whom was president of the line before), Wilbert is a polite and insightful saddle tank engine that always works hard in everything he does. He is friends to every engine, and can handle more loads than even bigger engines or even diesels can handle to. He offers positive advice, and is usually the kind of engine that never gives up. He's very humble in his work, and uses that, not just for his advantages, but to even encourage others to have a better self-respect for themselves, and always stand up for them. You can always count on an engine as strong and smart as Wilbert, and he's one visiting engine that is always welcome to Sodor.

Artist's Commentary: That's right guys, this is who I had in mind, Wilbert. In fact, because I introduced Kirby, who is Wilbert's brother, I actually made Wilbert before Kirby, and even when I drew Kirby, I reused Wilbert's design for obvious reasons. And like Stepney, and even visiting engines I'll get too later such as Flying Scotsman and Spencer, Wilbert will appear from time-to-time as a visiting engine. And I do have a feeling for those who will ask, because I have Kirby who is an Austerity Saddle tank, you'd be wondering, what is the relationship between these two? Well, I can't give too much away, but in his debut story, the dynamic between these two will be explored, but I will say Wilbert is the oldest.

As far as my updated picture, well, I just brightened the navy blue a bit though. Hope you like it.
