I like it however I do think its weird and pretty creepy actually, that you would make Finn look like a 9 year old boy while making his paradox character Fiona, whom I might add is the same age as Finn. Look like a 17 year old prostitute. I do think you are going to get a fair amount of backlash for over sexualizing your female characters.

Even if I do agree that aging up physically an underaged character is something that's rather foul, I do find your wording here a bit harsh?
Describing a physique akin the one of a "17 year old prostitute" and saying that this picture warrants a "mature content" filter is some pretty extremists things to say. I get the sentiment behind it, but I still find your words rather problematic in themselves?
I mean, Fiona's physique here falls in the middle of the girls portrayed here. And comparing what is a pear shaped body to the one of a prostitute is rather insulting to the girls and women who share that shape. (And so is using prostitution as an insult, sex workers have it hard enough already. Wether we agree with what they do or not, they are also people, who often works in awful conditions were there is no legislation to regulate their work. If anything, they are rather brave IMO)
If you wanted to talk about unrealistic body expectations, I would've pointed out Bubblegum's as the one who falls into the "idealized by media" kind.
And the art here is overly tame and don't really fall into any of the mature content guidelines? Yes, most of the girls are shapely but that in itself isn't anything that could scar innocent eyes???

Maybe she doesn't look like a prostitute but it's definitely sexual, there's no way you can look at Finn and Fiona and say it isn't. Yeah, girls have hips, but Fiona's hips aren't that huge, and if it making the characters look heavier why is Finn still super skinny? I mean, if you want to sexualize these characters, fine, people are doing it everyday, but it does deserve a mature content warning.
Anyone who thinks these characters could be in a modern children's game, especially Princess Bubblegum, are desperately trying to defend this obviously sexual picture.

lol maybe its my hormones, I just became mom to a baby girl and I now realize what it means to be worried about negative body image. I also feel pretty attached to it because its pretty much portrays my personal body shape. I may be extreme in my views but I am honest in my intentions. If being a bit controversial makes people think deeply and thoughtfully about what they post than I'm ok with it. After all, if people are putting forth a better body image or at least censoring the unrealistic and unattainable from the young and vulnerable. the less girls will be calling me at the center for suicide prevention. Just food for thought.

Listen- Most people know the difference between a character in a show/game/anime and a real person, and the same goes for their body types. But here's the thing, it's YOUR job, as a parent, to tell your child that it doesn't matter what they look like, or what their body type is. Because society isn't going to change just for you and your child. You have to suck it up and do the teaching yourself. If you do that, and you do it right, that'll at least be one less girl calling in.
And beyond that, saying Fionna looked like a prostitute is just plain wrong, I agree with Vma3. And If you've ever SEEN the show, the model here is pretty accurate.

No, I really would not say that's an accurate representation of Fionna at all, she has more of a stocky/chubby built in general, being pear shaped doesn't look like that. I'm guessing that could be why shuzbunny wasn't happy with the image either.
This all seems to be artistic license, only it's bland to give all the girl characters giant hips and the guys also look a bit sim style because they lack any defining features.
It's a critique that may sound harsh but I've seen the artist do better.

you are very naïve if you think parenting alone protects and prevents bad body image and the consequences their of and its neither here nor their anyhow. you all are missing the point of my comparison. Its also quite amusing that you are all so very offended as it was a critique for the artist and not for yourselves and really his/hers opinion is the only one that really matters in this situation. if they found me offensive then they would confront me about what I posted but since I know this artist to be a fairly mature individual my critique probably didn't bother them in the least and has already moved on. so please If you cant handle the posts that are not directed at you than maybe you should re evaluate weather or not you are mature enough to be posting at all.

I dunno, my parents did a pretty good job of teaching me, and I've watched animes with oversexualized characters my whole life.
And alas, I believe it to be you who is not mature enough to be posing at all. As you said, they are an intelligent and mature individual, so they would move on from something like this. If you knew from the beginning that they would ignore this, why would you bother posting it? To me it seems as though you did it to attract attention, and you did just that. I replied because what you had said made me upset. Yes it wasn't directed at me, but if people only responded to things directed at them, the world wouldn't be as it is now. In wars, for example, countries ally with other countries. Yes, it may have only been directed at one country, but others still do something about it

I'm pretty sure people are upset because all you're doing is trolling and insulting a talented artist just because "you" don't agree with their art style. Not everyone makes characters look the same and you're just insulting their art. Which is needlessly rude and mentioning "your" kids makes you seem like a narcissist because trying to use that as an example of why you don't like it is not going to convince anyone. If you don't want "your" kids to see it, don't show it to them. You don't want to see it, don't look at it. Nobody is forcing you. And we all know this is just about you and you're not trying to "help" anyone by trying to control what they get to do.
