a great thing about the lack of ctrl + z is that it opens up your creation a lot more. we all know what we want to draw but that may not be whats best. the great thing about having to work around a mistake is that sometimes it opens you up to a new view of your work, it can show you something you never even bothered to consider. Its happened to me quite a few times where i'm drawing something, make a mistake and instantly go, "hey wait a second, that could work as this which looks much better than what i had in mind!" had i been working digitally i would have undone it and gone on creating my lesser appealing vision.
a good way to avoid missing those opportunities when working digitally is to rough everything first. just draw it as you would but do not undo anything and just keep adding lines. once you're satisfied with what you see then start a new layer and do a clean trace over it.

exactly, i like seeing those opportune moments when a artist works with a oops and, it comes out better. it is especially noticeable in paintings as you can get upclose and personal to see how the artist covered or worked around the error. i have seen some digital artists do the same but not many, ctrl + Z is just too easy to make it go away. no i am not saying digital artists are lazy, i am saying they take perfection to a point where it loses the personal touch and just looks like everyone elses digital paintings.

lol 15 mintues of fame, and all of it wrong. It happens. You could always try doing what Doctors do. Ive done that before, you write in really fast cursive, so no one can read it. Ive seen a few artists do this also. Sad but it works.
