I wanted to try something really unusual and weird.(probably dumb too)
So here's my fanart of... my fanart.

About to pick out something wrong with the pic, here we go.
The cat ears. Are they part of the hair, or are they actual ears? If they're actual ears, they should be much closer to the head, they're way too far away from the head to be connected at all, at least the one on the left. I understand it's a cartoon, but it doesn't look right at all.

actually it's part of the design of this kind of "cartoon" drawing as you call it. If she were to draw it correctly as to them fitting to the head and such it wouldn't be right to the origional style, if you understand what I mean

I'm familiar with Anime/Manga style art (I almost eat it for breakfast), but it just looks a little extreme, even for an anime-style drawing.
Maybe it's just the way I'm seeing it and the angle her head's at, but it just looks really far off to the side rather than connected to her head. The bottom of the lighter part of the ear, especially, the angle it goes down at is very obtuse, if it connected at that angle she'd have her ear coming out of her neck or jawbone. It looks like the line there should be more or less parallel with the side of her head, rather than perpendicular.
Oh well, anatomic correction isn't a huge problem, unless it's meant to be realistic rather than anime-style. Then I'd have a field day. xD

It's more to do with Mikes personal style of art rather than anime/manga, I guess thats where he bases his style but those ears are his individual style. If you look through MikeInels gallery you would see that his style isn't anatomically correct, and in some pictures it's most definetly intentional. But I can see where you are coming from ^_^ although you are familiar with the anime and manga style, it doesn't necassarily mean you are familiar with the artists style. Ahh I guess I'm just touchy about it cause I suck at neko ears
