I don't have much to show, but, I want to give a lil gift as a 'thank you' for those who reported the art thief in Newgrounds...It's not really useful, but, I just hope i'm able to show some things for people to learn... It's recommended to know how to use Photoshop and AfterEffects first before looking at it...
I've also added an animated gif showing how a scene was prepared element by element... (Click 'Download'... 6mb tho)

'Kay, i tried counting and the total frames are approx 964... (that excludes the frames for non-animating elements)

i think when the girl wrote "draw for me" should've been placed at the end, and the scene showing the arm before it.

Question? You animated it then colored it? Do you have to color each frame individualy then paste it for your animation? Or..

The animation is one of the most touching one's I've seen on the internet, and your use of colour works really well. You seem to have a great talent for animation.
Your method of animation could be improved though, Photoshop isn't exactly the best tool for animation, there are a couple of programmes that would be a lot more efficient to animate in:
TV Paint (formerly mirage) [link] is a non-vector based animation programme, while I'm not familiar with this incarnation of it, mirage was a little confusing, but it has options for onion-skinning (showing the previous frames) for up to 15 frames either way.
As for vector based animation, I guess it may hinder your style but there is (obviously) always flash, as well as toon boom [link]

I really enjoyed your video. The sound on my computer is broken, but even without the music, or any sort of sounds, the vid rocks! This is a great piece of work you have done. I could really feel the characters and the situation. Excellent job, I'll be sure my friends watch this!

How did you get your animation to have that "shakey" look?
Did you have to go through each frame and manually change it a little?
I've been trying to get that look in some of my animations and I can't figure it out.

it was very touching video, I think most viewers didn't realise the boy was left handed the first time around, usually because people are right handed

I just have to say, the video was totally wonderful.
I came across it a few months ago and I was so touched. It really is genius. Then just now, I found one of your pictures in the scraps, and wow. I didn't realize you were on dA, but your video inspired me to do something besides random sketches and scribbles.
So I'm thanking you I guess. I know you probably get that a lot, so no more wasting your time.
But seriously, the statue of you is going up just as soon as I can afford it. =3

Well i could see your animation on youtube and i've to say you congratulations because it's an amazing work, this story and the characters have something original and lovely, so i could see the animation because a friend show it me and she show other people and i know everybody who has watched love the work. It was hard but worth.

that is all kinds of awesome. Im an animation major(3d mainly) but 3 things:
1) your animation is very well done, like plain awesome
2) the term you were looking for is "Tweening"( the ones who did the in-between frames in classic animation were called "tweeners")
3) you could seriously get jobs with this in your portfolio( if you arent already... im just saying its good work)
just my 2 cents but keep up the great work, look forward to seeing what else you crank out
