he/she isn't being an ass. it's the truth. you're seem to be a very good artist, judging from this, but come on. *really*? it isn't even hot anymore-- it's just grotesquely unrealistic. a critique tells you what's wrong/ right with a piece of art. you get major points for shading, linework, and general talent with the computer, but as far as originality/taste/human form drawing? absolutely 0.

It's called creative expression. He can draw whatever he wants and shouldn't have to be made fun of for it. I mean, for god's sake, half of the most famous artists known today are unrealistic. I mean, I'm sure you've heard of Picasso! His stuff is the most notable unrealistic work out there! Besides, maybe Mikeinel was havin' a bad day and couldn't get it down! Either way, no one has the right to sit there and say a piece of work is crappy just because it's unrealistic. I mean, besides, has any of your work gotten on the front page of DA or gotten a daily deviation? No offense to you, but Mike has skills, and he's better than half of the people here. And, by the way, I'm a straight female, so no one can say I'm a pervert either. I'm just tired of people saying someone's artwork sucks and making fun of it, when they have no reason to do so.

NO ONE IS MAKING FUN OF HIM, and it's obvious that he doesn't really care either way(you're the one getting pissed, not him). this site allows people to say what they want within reason--it's called critique. the idea is so cliched as to hardly constitute an idea anymore. as to skillz, i already recognized them. he's good at computer art. human form? not in this pic, at least. unrealism has nothing to do with it-- my latest pieces (soon to posted, hopefully) are an extremely abstract paint/pen drawing of my school's pool and a psychotic peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
and yes, my art has never made anywhere near front page, nor should it given the talent on this site, but neither should this pic. it's okay. there are hundreds of truly amazing works that could be front but never are, simply because their creators are not very conspicuous.

Okay, I understand what your saying, but A) I'm not trying to sound angry, and I'm not, I'm just disappointed. B) He actually did say he was making fun of him "I dont really care I was just making fun of it." And, still. Maybe that's how he wanted the pic to be. It's an anime picture, since when was anime realistic? I mean, she has no clothes, and giant swords. Yes, unrealistic, unoriginal or crappy? No, I don't think so. And, in all honesty, if someone doesn't like a picture, why take the time to mock the picture, AND give the creator a page view. I also understand that Mike may no worry about it, but these are things like just irk me, and I can't sit back and watch. (Partly OCD, partly annoyed.) I do see where you're coming from, but... I can't help it, and it drives me nuts.

Nice design, but some more cover ups would been nice (like a form-fitting black suit, with the buttons placed at the throat, breasts and belly button, that would've been cuter ^^

Like your representation of the PS3 as a girl, it's actually fairly appropriate xDD However, with the size of her upper torso in comparison to her legs, which are way too thin and far apart, she looks a little too top-heavyβ¦ andβ¦ her arms and shouldersβ¦ are also way too tiny. Itβs like you slapped a curvaceous torso on a petite girl. I do like what you did for her weapon and how you incorporated the PS3 color scheme and symbols. So as far as design and coloring goes, hats off to you olβ fellow, but the anatomyβ¦ o_< needs work.

great weapon and armor design.
I think the excessive nude takes away from the over-all sexiness of the character. I think that making it just a little more settle would enhance the image by few.
(ie, the crotch-patch isn't flattering, and the buttons on the breasts look really disconnected and a little pasted).
but great coloring and great weapon design, of this I would love to see more ^_^
