Hola a todos de nuevo, la siguiente maqueta en escala 1/72 que hoy os mostraré es este tanque estadounidense M48A3 Patton, fabricado a principios de los años 60 y basado en el antiguo carro de combate M48 Patton, que llevan este nombre en memoria del general George Smith Patton, comandante del Tercer Ejército Estadounidense durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial y uno de los militares estadounidenses que abogaban por el empleo de carros de combate en el campo de batalla. Estos tanques fueron famosos históricamente por llevar sobre el cañón un enorme faro-proyector que permitía a los tripulantes apuntar y disparar el cañón a distancias largas durante la noche, debido principalmente a que en la época en la que fueron creados y usados, las cámaras de visión nocturna y otros aparatos similares aún no se habían inventado.
