My favorite book. Though, I'll have to agree with a previous comment, Christine was a blonde-haired innocent little child.

I agree. As AWESOME as this looks, Christine doesn't really scream "Christine" at me. I love how Erik is done, the Mask of the Red Death is a good touch and you can see his discolored skin (a detail often omitted in illustrations). But Christine's personality comes across as a femme fatal and the dress is the wrong era by a few decades.

Precisely! As I recall, the book took place in the Victorian era, and this dress is off by a long shot. The character portrayed in the book is of the gentlest innocence, not some diva like Carlotta. To be honest, when I first glanced at this in my dW messages, I thought it WAS Carlotta.

I like the Ghost but I don't like how You draw the face of Christine ... It should be more innocent and cute.
