Firstly " RANGERS " " R " is red ( never white ) , secondly grey doesn't belong to the team's color scheme and thirdly " RANGERS " shield is perfect the way it is - so, there is no point to mess with it. New York Rangers is one of the original six - that doesn't need any changes on their logo at all.
