To those who don't know, that charming lady is the Stoneforge Mystic. What makes her so special you ask? Well she makes swords and weapons in Magic. She turns little birdies into outright killing machines that can flense the shit out of your opponent's face before they get to drop their fourth mana. My friend Jon, who bought her services, spent for a good amount of money was happy to soon have her on his team. 52 minutes after he bought her Magic the Gathering announced she was BANNED from legal tournament play, because she was just too damn generous with those swords.They're both both pretty inconsolable right now.

I don't dislike her but as a Jonny I'm glad that she was banned, to many players used her, it was no fun anymore. It's great when somebody finds an awesome combo but when everybody uses it it gets boring. Sorry Stoneforge.

Banning, the other name of Bad Game Testing. But Wizards never learn, and they making another Jace that is overpowered.
But the ban of Stoneforge Mystic was because almos everyone play it in tournament; people don't have imagination to create his own combos.

I hear the deck that got her and Jace banned was considered worse than affinity was back when that was in standard. What is it about them bringing the world of Mirrodin into standard that ends up getting stuff banned from that format? xD
