Working on my custom build 1/144 RX-78-02 Gundam.
It's gonna take quite a while to finish as I'm making it convertible between early type and late type, so before that here's a drawing of how it'll look like.
Bandai might make an HG but it'll certainly be the Katoki version. The GFFMC was overly Ka, the MG was a great kit but failed to adhere to Katoki's new and more comic-accurate design .
I like the way Yasuhiko draws it, Komatsubara captured that look nicely with his resin kit . NAOKI didn't use the comic proportions in his semi-scratch build but the details are spot on.
The base model for mine is the HGUC Revive RX-78-2 Gundam, its proportions are close to what I want and that's about it. I'm pretty much remolding the whole thing like it's a completely different MS(technically it is).

The words in the background are lyrics from Andrew W.K.'s BEGINNING, the English version of Inoue Daisuke's ビギニング, which is an appropriation of King Crimson's Prince Rupert Awakes.
You should check out Sawano Hiroyuki's orchestral version of BEGINNING as well, it fitted really well in the "time travelling" scene in Gundam Unicorn episode 7.
