Description
I've been getting questions about how I did the edit. First I desaturated, than used the channel mixer, played around with curves and used layers to dodge and burn evenly. I wanted to make the image look surreal thus lots of post-processing.thank you so much =PhoeniX252 and ^hesitation
sorry, I decided to re-edit this one since my photoshop skills are a little more refined now.

Wow - didn't even realize this was a DD. It deserves it.
The two birds also split by the post really add to the composition. I like.

Wow, somone put some thought into this! Burn n dodge used to good effect I think.. any chance of getting the couple encapsuled in the circle of the bench's armrest? that could've been cool. it's all groovy, takes compositional steet photography to another level!

no problem. I'm sooo behind on replying to comments. DDs are great but replying to all the comments and favs is daunting.

I like the composition, and the idea that only the people (who I originally thought were young, but upon further inspection appear a bit older) on the bench know what that sign says. and they're facing away from it. lovely

If theres was lots of post processing, it really should be filed as Photo-manipulation.
That being said, it's refreshingly original and extremely well-done. My salutes to you!

thanks.
well, the same kinds of effects are possible with using a darkroom so I decided not to put it in photo-munip. plus I didn't after the composition which is normally done with photo-manips. I just wanted to be honest about how the photo because I did go on beyond slight adjustments. I don't mind if people alter their work just as long as they are honest about it.
thanks again

Very nicely done. I think you pulled off that surreal feeling that you were going for beautifully.

great symmetry! but even more, i like how the bench + triangular post together make allusions to the signs for male and female and also how the sharp triangular post divides up the couple. very cool.

I like it... it serves both as a great picture of street life, but at the same time it can be quite a conceptual picture visually. You did a really great job with this!
