Featherkit escaped from camp, not knowing he did. He soon found a badger. He tried to run but he was too slow. The badger took him back to the badger den and ate him.. alive. Mothtail, featherpaws mother attends patrols to look for her son. 2 days after her son went missing, she found him at a badgers den.. she sat down and stared at the ripped kitten in horror for a long moment. The others who attended the patrol comforted her, but no matter what Mothtail was still horrified. She couldn't, wouldn't eat for 3 days. Her mate started to get worried. The 2 kits who were Featherkits sisters, were searching for Featherkit. Mothtail didn't show any emotion for days, but she never left her kits alone, even with their father. The kits became apprentices but she never left their side until she was old. Mothtail was taking a walk in the forest. She was alone.. or so she thought...
