This reminds me of Phantasm. Very cool and dark like a dungeon. These HDRI images are something to look into!

Very cool, couple things though. Your sphere appears to have texture from all sides except perhaps where texture is most evident (on the visible outside of the circle the flat sphere makes, make sense?). This one is also just my opinion but the backdrop to the sphere could use a little work perhaps..maybe a better resolution [of the bd].(minor); err yes, but i very much like this.
