A really impressive view of the entire archipelago of Krakatau (whose name of the volcano is quoted and incorrectly pronounced as Krakatoa) with all the islands of the archipelago: Sertung and Panjang (also called by the names of Verlaten and Lang), Rakata and Anak Krakatau ( erupting in the middle of the image). All the islands of the archipelago are the remains of volcanoes, the Sertung and Panjang islands are the remains of the ancestral volcano which, with its last eruption in 535 AD, (After Christ), ended up creating a caldera between the islands, which soon after gave rise to Krakatau Island, which also collapsed on August 26, 1883, which gave rise to Anak Krakatau in 1927. That sounds like a Matriosca doll for you?
