i almost feel like my pathetic sculpey monstrosity does not deserve to be in the sculpture->busts category XD

sooooo my secret's out. i love sculpture. show me a few classical statues in marble or temple carvings and i'll be happy for a week. sadly, i cannot sculpt for beans. michelangelo helps to fill the void, though.

now, THIS. this is meant to be the sleeper. a nice little bust, which in my head looked a lot... grander, somehow, but i think it's just because i used pink sculpey and did a shoddy job of painting it white.

there would be plenty of statues and paintings of the sleeper, as a deity in his own right, by the people who worship him rather than the goddess he was meant to emulate; he gained followers during the centuries in which he slept and developed his own mini-religion without even knowing it! therefore: sculptures aplenty.

...now if only i could make things that aren't small enough to fit in my palm. yeah... this thing's TINY.

'flesh-toned' super sculpey and watered down white acrylic paint. possibly four hours, including one hour baking time.
