Description And this is the oldest monestary on Moscow's territory - it's tiny, and was constructed some time in 1300s...
Andrey Rublev, the original russian icon painter, is said to be buried on one of the little passages on monestary grounds...

It's such a contrast, actually: Moscow has over 26000 churches, if not much more - and every time you enter church grounds, you step into this quiet little world of peace and little haste... and only the intruding sounds from outside the church grounds walls remind you that you're located in the heart of the burstling city.
