oh hon....... didn't mean to upset you.. but kids can suffer from terrible nightmares and it not necessarily has to be on account of abuse.. for years i was afraid of a hand under my bed.. i wanted to have the light on in my bedroom.. and if i had to go to the bathroom at night i would take a giant leap off the bed. what also scared me was my parents when they were fighting.. that was terrible for me.. it is terrible for children in general cause they feel guilty... one of my nightmares deals with that too.... it is or can be traumatic for a small child to have parents who fight like cat and dog......

Well, having two parents fight like that can be abuse in a way but if you don't feel it is, then I guess why should I feel it is? But apparently it affected you to have such terrible nightmares. And for that I'm sorry and sad for you. I have my nightmares too but I didn't have them as a child, so I guess I just thought that any child that could have such tramatic nightmares had to deal with some kind of abuse.

ok.. i guess we have to see what the definition of abuse is then... i understand what you mean but i wonder if 'abuse' does not mean the intention of harming up to a certain extent? if parents fight - at night thinking the child is asleep there is no intention of harming ... so i wonder if the word abuse is correct.. in this instance. of course once the parents become aware of the impact their fighting has upon the child and they still continue..... then it becomes abuse.. ok..you are right then
well.. i have worked on all these issues.. and am glad to say that i have been able to figure it all out.. work it off.. accept it or whatever...... and the nightmares i show in my images are no longer harming me. and then new ones i create just remain on paper.. or in my pc..
so...... i didn't mean to offend honey......

Well what I guess it all really boils down to is that you know why you created this but to other, they may view it as child abuse......now I'm not saying that you're the abuser, you're only portraying a child that was abused, in some way, shape or form. Whether or not your parents knew you were awake is not really the question, how it affected YOU is the question...some people can create some kind of "emotional trama" without even knowing it........and to me that is abuse. I got criticized left and right and compared to my sisters from my mother........was that really abuse........not really but it affected me and created the person I am today that doesn't have a good self-esteem, who doesn't feel right compared to everyone else......so yes, it was abuse to the fact that it bothered me and hurt me. Now I hope you'll understand what I'm saying
