The neat thing about the dream was that two of your hounds were with us. We were in the deep woods and we walked among the ancient trees until we came out on a ledge overlooking a valley. The sun was setting low and the sky was giving us one of those firy spectacles one sees from the summit of a tall place. As we stood there silently taking in the vista, one of your houds went around and sat next to your feet. The other one sat next to mine. I took your hand in mine and just as I was about to give it a tender loving squeeze, I woke up...

awwwwww... thats not fair! but.. this must have been in your area we dont have mountains here.. and we did have quite a spectacle last night.. wow!

I do not know where we were in the dream. It looked like somewhere in the Rocky Mountains out west because the trees were HUGE. We do not have those kinds of trees here.

So, you live in a flat land. Hot, dry, and dusty, I take. It was that way in SoCal. Cold at night. Sweltering during the day. And when the storms came, they were fierce. Here in Kentucky, the weather is mild and wet. There are no real mountains, but there are plenty of big hills. And lots of rock outcroppings, mostly sedimentary shales and slates. It is a beautiful place.

oh i love this place.. yes.. flat.. but lots of green too as i mentioned in my previous message.. all because of the water reservoirs.. the natural ones. this area is well known also for its health spas.. so water everywhere. this whole area used to be flooded regularly by the tisza and danube rivers.. that is why this area is also called trans-danubia..
thenights are pleasant.. not cold.. just nice )

I would love to visit Hungary. I would do that just to come and see your neck of the woods, aye. Perhaps one day when I make the big time, I will do that. I am glad the weather is somewhat milder there than it was for me in SoCal. The desert is beautiful, but she is a harsh mistress, aye.

mh.. you know.. three figure temperatures are normal here.. from about late june - late august, early september.. and they start in the morning.. on some days it feels as if somebody opened a furnace and a hot air is coming from it.. we always have heavy winds here.. hot or cold.. depending on the season. at night it cools off enough so you can sleep... and all the traditional houses here are made of mud bricks.. that is wonderful.. as it regulates the heat and moisture inside the houses and keeps them warm in winter. the walls are thick.. ours are about 3 ft thick.. making it very comfy inside

Holy cow! Three feet thick walls. Wow. Heck, our walls are made of wood and they are only ten inches thick at most. The trees shade us in the summer. The house is totally surrounded by old trees. We practicly live in the woods. Larry has this nice huge riding mower that cuts the lawn precisely so that it is like a lush green carpet that is soft under foot. I love to walk barefoot outside...

oh.. you would have a problem here LOL.. we have thistles growing in the grass. and we dont use a mower but the scythe. we let the grass grow.. it is beautiful.. full of wild herbs, flowers which give nourishment to bees, butterflies.. and protection to lizzards and other critters. the whole place is only mowed once per year completely. other than that.. we use the scythe to get food for the goats

Well, Honey, we have no goats, but parts of the property are left wild for the little critters. Also, farmland stretches all around us. We have thistles here, too, but since I have gone barefoot most of my life, I can step on them without getting bit. I usually see them first. Ours is a yard for playing in. Since we have a recording studio in the house, curb appeal is very important to our clients as tey drive up. And working in the lawn is both relaxing and satisfying. It truly is a work of art.

well you know our place is just different the thistles i am talking about.. believe me.. you would not step on them. they are wicked! the big ones arent the problem and yes of course i understand re your clients and such.. but here it is different. the wildness is part of the charm.. ah i must send you some more pics

I love wild places. Here in Kentucky, they are only a short walk from the Manor in all directions. The deer walk across the yard. Rabbits hop about. And there are birds everywhere. The animals show no fear. You can walk down to the garden and the little butterflies will light right on you.

I have seen the sharp little scottish thistles. We call those bull nettles. They leave welts as they give you their little sharp sticklers. Yikes. Fortunately, those do not grow much in a well kept lawn. Most of the grass is white clovers. The bee population is huge as a result, so you are more likely to step on a bee rather than a thorny green thistle thing.

I lool forward to seeing the land where you live and the plants and animals there. Major huggage, lots of love, and warm kisses. Namaste, dear Pat.

I wish I could find a way to either come there or get you over here for a visit. It would probably be easier for me to come there. I would simply have to raise the bucks to do so.

Right now, cash is tight because of expenses incurred running a home with three bachelors which is second mortgaged. Since this home is actually a recording studio, it cost even more. We have to keep the gear going and the lawn nice. But it is worth it.

If we can ever get a good record out and it happens to sell quickly enough, you might be seeing me shortly afterwards. I can dream...
