The sun rose quietly over Eternia Acres, its weak spring rays unable to break through the blanket of clouds to reach the ground. It had been a rainy few days, and these clouds, though dove grey and soft, promised to keep that trend up.

Draydon hated rain, how it soaked through his clothes to freeze him if he went out or, how no matter how hard he tried, he'd end up stepping in some swamp of a puddle. But most of all, he hated the smell of wet fur on his pokemon, this was why so few lived in his cabin with him. With all this weather he'd taken to sleeping in, and today was no different.

So when he felt an hand grasp his shoulder and shake him, he woke with a start, the idea of someone actually waking him up confusing him. The only one who would dare wake him was Freya, and she lived on the other side of the ranch. This only got worse when he heard a voice he was only faintly familiar with call out a name that was definitely not his.

"Zap, wake up its Morning!" Came the cheerful sound of Zip, the Fairy fusion Chu eager as always for the day. "I guess we slept in, oh well... We should still have time, you promised to come with me to the marsh today, remember?" he said smiling brightly at Draydon.

Draydon just stared at him, taken aback, which was not an easy reaction to get out of him. There were so many things running through his head, most of which why he could understand the pikachu, why it was in HIS cabin when Dray was sure they lived in Freya's, and most importantly why this pokemon was acting like it knew him. He'd barely spent time with the chu's since they arrived.

Zip continued to talk as he began folding up his bedding. "Maybe we'll even see Destan..." he trailed off, raising a concerned eyebrow at what he believed to be his brother, his behaviour and silence now worrying him. "What?" he asked as Draydon sat up. "Why are you staring at me Zap, is my fur all messed up?"

Draydon did not reply, he was too busy processing this. Zip had called him Zap, which if he remembered correctly, was the chu's twin Dragon fusion brother. But why? He didn't like where this was going, and glanced down at his hand, his fears confirmed. What should have been a human hand was instead a gold and black furred paw, sharp silver claws on each digit. Zap's paws.

"Brother?" Zip said, now even more worried by his twin's behavior, fur pricking uneasily. Draydon ignored him, frustration replacing his surprise, it would figure something like this would start up again. Only last year he and his sister had been fooled into thinking they were pokemon by a vengeful rarity. That had turned out to be just a really powerful illusion, but this time things seemed a lot more real.

"you have got to be kidding me" he said in Zap's voice, a growl in his throat. "Not this nonsense again. Bloody Rarities...." rolling his eyes he went to get up, leaving Zip staring at him in confusion.

"Brother?" he said, frowning. "what's going on, what do you mean rarities?" Zip scrambled to his paws, cutting Draydon off as he headed for the door of the room. Draydon gave him an annoyed look, not exactly wanting another peppy tag along, Freya was enough.

"I'm not your brother, I'm Draydon. Some stupid mon has switched us or something." He pushed passed him into the hall, leaving Zip wide eyed and speechless for a moment. However, after only a few steps, the fairy chu was right beside him again, a worried look in his eyes. "you're not serious right... you sound like Zap, are you sure you just didn't hit your head or something?"

Draydon turned a cold look on him. "I really don't care what you think is going on, this doesn't concern you." he continued walking a little faster, and much to his annoyance the chu persisted. "Where are you going?" He asked as they turned the corner leading to the kitchen.

"To my cabin. If I'm here, then Zap is probably in my body."

"oh... what are you going to do? Do you know how to switch back?"

So many questions, he was worse than Freya! With a roll of his eyes he stopped, Zip halting as well. "Find the rarity, and make it fix this. That's it." He narrowed his eyes at the chu, setting him with one of his signature glares. "now stop following me" To his surprise Zip returned his stare, an unexpected defiance in the smaller chu's eyes. "you cant stop me from doing that. If your not my brother, then I have to find him same as you."

A bit impressed that he hadn't just gotten upset, Draydon was about to tell him off when the sound of paws came thudding down the hall. A small golden eevee with red spikes on her back and a small set of dragon wings rounded the corner, only just stopping herself from crashing into them "oh thank Arceus, there you two are!"

"what's wrong Erin?" Zip asked, frowning as he watched the vee uneasily shift her paws. "Freya's missing, she's not in her room and I looked all over the house" Draydon felt the fur bristle along his shoulders. "what do you mean she's missing?"

"exactly what it sounds like" she frowned glancing back down the hall. "she usually feeds everyone first thing, but she's really late today. Valour and Clara said she was gone when they woke up earlier"

"Maybe she's just out on the ranch?" Zip reasoned. "I know she checks up on the eggs first, she could be there?" Erin shook her head frowning deeply. "I don't think so, her scent is old Zip, she would have had to have left during the night." she padded toward the front door, going to head through a flap that had been installed for pokemon. "she could be out there, but I'm worried. I'm going to get Oolong and Julian to see if they can help" With that she slipped outside, leaving Zip and Draydon alone.

"well that isn't good" Zip remarked, glancing at Draydon. "Where do you think she went?" Draydon frowned deeply before going to follow Erin outside, Zip forced to dash after him. "hey!" the chu called, nearly running into him on the porch. "Stop ignoring me, this is serious! If Freya is missing then-"

"Then so is YOUR brother." Draydon replied, turning a frustrated look at the soggy grass ahead. "and Freya is still here, somewhere. It's whoever she's been switched with that's missing" It only made sense, when things like this happened in Nation, it always seemed to effect BOTH trainers. With an inward groan he hopped off the porch and into the grass, intent on finding her first. Today was going to be just great, now he'd get to enjoy that awful smell of wet fur wherever he went....

Elsewhere, surrounded by mist and strange dark plant life, Zap had awoken. Still reeling from the shock of finding himself in a body that very clearly was not his, completely alone and with no recollection of how this happened. He didn't like what that might mean for his real body, and what his brother might be dealing with at this very moment. He sighed, looking at his hands. "...Well... This isn't good..." There was only one thing he could do, try and find out where he was, and get back to the ranch as soon as possible.

Well seems the chaos of last year's April wasn't enough, but instead of an illusion making the trainers think they are pokemon, this time around they've actually swapped bodies with one of their mon X'D I couldn't resist using Zap, I know he's in practically every one of my event submissions but I love him XD And who else would I swap him with but Draydon? The real question now is what about Freya? Who has she been swapped with?
