I've been a big fan of using mehron grease makeup (since I have dry skin) for my costume and using a combination of makeup wedges and a blending cone for the contouring. I used a true-blue for the contrast, because that's the color Pearl blushes. It's just a matter of using a soft touch and a lot of tiny blotting motions... :-P
