Ooo lovely and deliciously dark!! Great texture work on the skull. It's so tactile, you can really imagine what it would feel like to the touch. You must keep that lighting scheme if you work on this further, it's so atmospheric with the subtle green and red light. It just works in enhancing the intensity! Also, her facial features are beautiful and contrast so dramatically with the skeleton. This is very rich with many possible back stories. I love this painting!

Really, I don't mean to be a pest, asking basically the same question again, but I love the look you have here, and am also looking to try some different coloring tools/approaches.
The only info I can readily find about your technique is mentioning using a camel hair brush on your recent tutorial, but you didn't say what software you're using, and this image has a different feel from that too. Anyway, any specifics on your tools for this would be greatly appreciated. I'm not asking for a step-by step, just software and brush type(s) used would be great. Please?

Sorry bout the lack of info, i usually write it up but this piece i haven't fully wrapped up yet. This is done in Photoshop CS3, I've forgotten where i got the camel hair brush from but its pretty much like bristle brush that gives a textured stroke. Try look through conceptart.org forums if your after customized photoshop brushes. Hope this helps.
