I haven't been too active on here recently (even though I said I would try to be on the last post (lol at that)). I decided to put this cute little creature up here since I just recently finished him. I love drawing quirky animals (particularly because they are random and fun to draw er dot). The whole time I was working on this tapir and looking at the reference photo, my interpretation of the tapir's expression was just "done with everything". So that funny-ness fueled the dots.

This was also the piece that I had to put one of my favorite art pens to rest (the woes when your favorite pens die on you). To give the pen credit, I had it for about 1.5 - 2 years, so good for you pen for lasting that long.

Eventually, when I get up to it, I'll probably come back to this guy and add more depth to his head.
