Description
Just see who entersthe realm of dreams
creating lands
that none have seen
Retaking kingdoms,
legends of old
Molding them into
enchanted world
Reaping the fruits
that in his mind grow
to rivers of words
that from his pen flow
Travel through the lands,
follow the dream
He gives you his hand...
Enter with him!

A great poem, fits for being a tribute to this great writer.
The 2nd and 4th lines of the third paragraph don't flow enough when I read it, but it may be just my far-from-perfect-English.

Thank you very much! And it's much more probable that it's *my* far-from-perfect English

Ah, well, for some reason I think of great artists as fluent in English, specially if they write things. Quite funny, considering I, too, write in English.

Beautiful tribute to someone who molded the worlds I fell in love with, your poem really shows that you also appreciate his genius.

I love it! It's sad that some people don't understand fantasy and want to ban it. I'm a teacher and there are certain religious groups at my school that don't allow their children to read fantasy books at all. (We no longer have a Halloween Dance at school, we have a Fall Festival instead)

Oh, thankfully here the people are more reasonable, I've never heard that someone would prohibit reading fantasy at least. Tolkien was a strong Christian himself, so I really don't understand what they consider wrong in fantasy books.

Some people are against the animistic elements of the story (the fact that trees have souls/spirits). Others don't like Gandalf's magic or Galadriel's clairvoyance. It was burned in New Mexico in 2001. If I'm teaching students who are Jehovah's witnesses, the magic would definitely present a problem.
