Her given name, from Sino-Korean 英 "petal, flower, leaf; brave, a hero" and 美 "beautiful, pretty; pleasing".

Her bday is on October 30th and is 33 years-old. She's 165cm tall, her blood type is A.

She was born in Tokyo. Her mother was still young at that time, so she left her, still a baby, with her father's family aka Kwang-soo's parents.

When their father died, Kwang-soo's mother started treating Yeong-mi very badly. Yeong-mi tried to hide it, especially to her brother, since she didn't want to break his family. However, he ended stabbing his mother to protect Yeong-mi.

While he spent 3 years in prison, Yeong-mi was adopted by Daisuke and Hiroko Abe, a very warm couple that loved her a lot. Yeong-mi could finally feel the love of a family, but still feel bad for getting that happy moments while her brother was having such hard times for her.

When Kwang-soo got released from prison and they finally reunited (thanks to Chan-woo tho, cos Kwang-soo didn't want to get involved in Yeong-mi's life again since now she could finally be happy), she was very happy. She had now two loving parents and her brother at her side.

So when Kwang-soo ran away in 2002, Yeong-mi was devastated. Still, she didn't give up, and was sure that they will reunite again. They indeed did years later when she joined the Ogbaem mafia.

Kwang-soo was disappointed by that, and told her that wasn't her place and that she should just stay with her family. Yeong-mi replied that he is her family and that she will stay at his side and make sure he's happy.

Besides the snake tattoo of the Ogbaem Mafia (that technically should be seen in her main outfit but we'll pretend I drew it anflskanfl), she has a panther tattoo on her back! A panther tattoo can symbolise power, guardianship, freedom and courage among others.

Yeong-mi is a cunning tactician as well as a very skillful hacker. She always carries her cellphone and laptop with her, and claims she could rob the national bank with just her phone and 10 minutes of time. Nobody knows if it's true or just her being arrogant tho.

She knows Korean, Japanese, and English. She wants to learn German and Swedish too.

She doesn't drink nor smoke, but she drinks quite high amounts of coffee every day, and even more if she's stressed.

She uses computer glasses sometimes to help prevent eye strain due to looking at screens too many hours.

Her likes includes science, action movies, and mobile games. Her dislikes includes male chauvinism, exercise, and her brother's cooking.
