It's a point of debate. : ) Body armor would make it more difficult for a zombie to land a bite. But the zombies' game is all about grappling. The best defense is to not let them grab you. And body armor provides handholds.

that is true but the armor does prevent nibbeling
and ina brawling situation its best to be save then sorry and go for body armor
or a mobile suit ...not much of an zombie apocalypse then >: )
