I love the uniqueness of the animal...thing. You don't often see parakeets mixed into a griffon pose. And I must say, I love the paws. Something about them....
On a more technical note, nice use of contrasting colors to emphasize the griffakeet.

How is that nifty background effect acomplished with the watercolors? I love it, but I never have been able to figure out how it's done. You've used it perfectly to create that soft light glow behind him, from which the strong colors of his body stand out so well. I also like your use of colored pencil in the bacground to create the suggestion of foliage. Great piece!

This is the darndest CUTEST griffin I have EVER seen in my entire life! the pose! The fluffy feathers and poofy cheeks! EEEEEEKKK! I wanna FUZZLE him!!!!!!

SO CUTE! the pose is so adoreable, and you can totally see the parrot in there. the face makes it look so innocent and the pose is really playful. the detail in all the feathers and stuff is also incredible. i also like the background. pink and green really work together, even though the BG is really simple, i like the flowers and it really brings out the char, love it!!
