I really like it as is. Its anatomically correct, which is kinda rare in mer. Its also quite believable. I don't get the vibe from this that its trying to be both a mammal and a fish at the same time, which is good. I can see its all fish, albeit humanoid fish.

Reminds me a lot of my old betta, he had almost the same coloration. I think this is beautiful, and very unique. You did a great job anthropomorphosizing the betta.

Your lineart and shading always has a softness and style to it that's uniquely yours.
A nice piece with neat character design and good flow to the 'movement' in the fins. That adds to it and makes it look as if they truely are underwater.
