Description
"Why should I stop with just your liver?"Time: about 3 days all in all, stopped after the second day, lost interest on piece for months. Today raced through remaining parts for about 12 hours, cause if I had stopped I knew it would take another month to pick up where I left off.
Ref: my right foot.
Music: Glee OST, HALO OST. Good stuff.
Mood: shitty when starting first time months ago, shitty when first returning to this thing, not so shitty now.
Wiki Prometheus if you had no clue who he is.
It's supposed to be dark/poorly-lit.
Wings are eeeeeeeevil.
Might post step-by-step sometime in the future.

I am absolutely stunned.
I know you're a fantastic artist, but this is so far above and beyond what I've seen in the rest of your gallery to date. I'm just...stunned. There is such a wave of power and ruthlessness rolling off of this piece, but at the same time it is very elegant. The style and palette (and the red ribbon, of course!) remind me very much of the Delacroix painting, Liberty Leading the People. So I too, have no problem with the darks. The angle is so strong and dramatic, and I am impressed with how you got most of the anatomy and foreshortening correct from there, especially without any refs!

Now that you mentioned it, I noticed the palette is rather similar. I suppose that's a pretty eerie coincidence, although I'm lightyears away from the awesomeness that Delacroix created

Really like this piece. Prometheus is one of my favorite greek myths and i like your vision of Zeus punishment.
Love the violent, yet sad ambience you achieved, and this pseudo-theme of the female dominating the god.

I really like the composition, and I don't mind that their bodies are really close together. I think you could keep some of the dark darks just add a little more contrast. But I really like it! The proximity adds to the serious aura of the image. Well done.
