Description
"Why should I stop with just your liver?"Time: about 3 days all in all, stopped after the second day, lost interest on piece for months. Today raced through remaining parts for about 12 hours, cause if I had stopped I knew it would take another month to pick up where I left off.

Music: Glee OST, HALO OST. Good stuff.
Mood: shitty when starting first time months ago, shitty when first returning to this thing, not so shitty now.

It's supposed to be dark/poorly-lit.
Wings are eeeeeeeevil.
Might post step-by-step sometime in the future.

I'm speechless, this is simply magnificent, it manages to make me forget what's behind this image, the story it carries. Somehow the 'eagle' doesn't look at all like it's cold or cruel, and even Prometheus doesn't appear to be in pain, I think that's way I can't avoid but seeing the beauty here. This piece deserves a Daily Deviant! I hope you'll get it (even if you don't want it ^^)

Oooh wonderful composition and lighting - very reminiscent of Titian.
When I've read or being told about Prometheus I had always imagined harpies eating his liver, so although you haven't painted a harpy, that man/bird creature is far closer to what I imagine than a giant eagle.
I don't know why I imagine harpies, I must have a fixation.

Yeah, sometimes I find faces to be distracting. By showing no face/s on a painting I assume the viewers would be forced to grasp the meaning through the entirety of the piece.

It's a mix of a couple of old paper textures. I think I got them on DA last year. Sorry can't really pinpoint the exact texture; I mostly use my own 'remixes' =/
