Description
"The Wargs and the goblins often helped one another in wicked deeds.Goblins do not usually venture very far from their mountains, unless they are driven out
and are looking for new homes, or are marching to war. But in those days they
sometimes used to go on raids, especially to get food or slaves to work for them.
Then they got the Wargs to help and shared the plunder with them.
Sometimes they rode on wolves like men do on horses."
- The Hobbit: Out of the Frying-pan into the Fire
So I was watching the oldschool Rankin/Bass Hobbit and i had to stop it at my heavy inspiration cause i got this image in my head. It isn't exactly what i had in mind, but it's close enough. I hope you like it.
For those who don't know cause they haven't read the book or whatever, the dwarves, Bilbo & Gandalf are up the trees...OH NO! A CLIFFHANGER! OH MY!

Fifteen birds in five fir trees~
lol I remember this movie from when I was a kid and loved the book.
The sense of motion is great and it actually kind of captures the way things look through heat haze.

There's a nice sense of motion and urgency in this, which is nicely doned. Maybe the flames could of had more of a glow to them, but the rest of it is great!

I like this piece, I like it a lot. The reason for my "like" for it is cause it has that great sense of fire all around. I've experienced this type of scene first hand and it is blurry and there is a great sense of motion. And because this picture has a huge sense of upward flow and movement, it is convincing in what it represents. I also like the contrast from blurry and wavy to the forground goblin, he looks nifty.

gorgeousness.
this actually reminds me of a sea anemone, for some reason. graceful and seemingly harmful not quite a plant or animal. beautiful colors, composition. only thing i'd say is the dimensions of the piece are distracting somewhat...i almost wish they were a tad more square. thats just me though
beautiful work as always mishy
