My beautiful little scragamuffin, Scarlet. I rescued her in January 2005 when she was 10 years old. I had never met such a scared, angry cat in my life, she'd been abused by her owners and had lived as a feral cat for a time. However, with patience & love, she tuned into the most loving and happy little soul. My then-boyfriend and I used to joke that she reminded us of Kate Bush because of her long unruly brindle tortoiseshell fur & huge eyes. She passed away from advanced lung cancer in march 2008. I miss her every day, especially when I hear Kate Bush.
