Personality:
The only son of Big Macintosh and Sugar Belle as well as the first unicorn born into the Apple family, Jonathan is a quiet and reserved stallion much like his father. He also loves to hang out with younger kids and find ways to entertain them, which is actually how he discovered his talent for making balloons. He can also be a little oblivious to others at times, and is completely unaware of the fact that he has a mare crushing on him.

Relationships:
Jonathan is really close to his dad and step-mother, whom he actually calls "mom", and adores all three of his younger half-siblings, especially his sister Harrow Crisp. Another pony he's close to is Twisty Pop, who taught him everything he knows about making balloons. He's also crushed on by Blueberry Snowcone, a unicorn mare from Our Town, but he isn't aware of this and mostly sees her as a friend...for now, at least. He's not that close to his biological mother Sugar Belle, who left him and his dad shortly after he was born to return to her friends in Our Town. She's tried to connect with him over the years, but Jonathan just doesn't know how to feel about her.

Cutie Mark:
Jonathan's cutie mark is an apple-shaped balloon, representing his talent of making them as well as his connection to the apple family. It took a while for him to discover his talent as he wasn't very good at harvesting apples and nearly burned the house down once when he tried out baking, but he ended up discovered his talent for making balloon animals while trying to find a way to entertain one of his younger cousins..
