You did an amazing job. And while I haven't seen Avatar in it's entirely yet, I really really don't like her character at all. At all. She's just very non-likeable to me, which makes it hard to believe that they end up together and I';m like "What? All the other girls in the series and he picks her!?! WHY?"

At first, I wasn't much for the Zuko/Mai pairing. But after a while it(they?) grew on me.
Seeing this picture reminded me why.
The detail in this is insane - it's almost cartoonish and realistic at the same time; I believe that is why I love it so.
It is well worth the Daily Deviation!

Beautiful rendition...I love how you made them look like real people. Its as if they were sitting your living room and you painted them. I didn't used to be maiko...but after watching the whole series a second time a whole bunch of little facial expression and words solidified the maiko and katang relationships for me.
Oh and btw what medium did you use? For the embroidery on their clothes did you do that by hand? Finally: you should give this to zuko and mai as a wedding gift haha! they would love it. sorry this was so long.
