Cool. I like the water, it's a good balance.
My first child will be named Julia Set Chevalier (or Julio Set if it's a boy).
Anyone named mandelbrot is looking to get beat.

Fantastic. Reminds me strongly of Dali. I love the fluid serenity it breathes. Great composition.

Very pretty. Like the structure is sitting in an ocean with some residue on the surface - the clouds in the atmosphere. Neato!

Is there a way to use a bitmap image as the colors on the Mandelbrot instead of the default gradient?
It looks like thats what you did to create this... but I'm not sure.
I'm messing around a bit in UF but I don't know how to achieve something of this sort...
Please enlighten me! ^-^

Yes you can import bitmap images as gradients into UF. Also, Apophysis gradients, for example, can be used in UF, but here I have just changed the default gradient. Select the gradient icon on the tool bar, then move the points on the gradient up and down. Add more points by "right clicking" on the gradient window select "insert" and a new point will be added. Keep adding more points or remove by "right clicking" and selecting "delete". You can save your gradients and use them again and again until you have built up a library. You can't beat using the built-in tutorial with UF. Be prepared to spend sometime learning and experimenting, but it's all worth it. Although I have written a tutorial, it's not yet published. Follow the built-in tutorial until you feel confident enough to move on to more complex things. My advice, just enjoy, play around with it and before long you'll be accomplishing things that you never dreamt of. If you need any more help, let me know and I'll give you a few pointers.

Thanks for sharing!
I love the pallette... there is something restful about the colors, even though the form is exciting...

Amazing work. Can't really tell what's done wrong with it, although I got surprised you could see Earth in it as I thought it was supposed to be some kind of dome or nexus from the inside.

perceived in a different light the water seems like clouds rolling over the earths surface. very interesting and unique.
