I remember when a turtle literally showed up on our doorstep. Same kind as yours, only bigger. We let her go.

We think it probably got a bit disoriented and walked over from the ditch. (really deep and long ditch with frogs and stuff) It's just a few blocks from our house.

terrapins are cute as sin when they're tiny babies but most people who buy them as pets tend to get rid of them as they grow up... or after so many fingers have been bitten off ((seriously, they won't let go))
