I'm so glad there's finally a feminine-looking water starter. Plus, it's fairy-type (one of my favorite type) and it's paired with my favorite type. I have the feeling that it's gonna become my second favorite starter period after Swampert.BTW, those are the starters that I deemed feminine-looking, in my opinion, even though Venusaur and Meganium aren't as apparent.
EDIT: Added the little thing on Venusaur's flower.

He offer one of his arrow as a sign of humbleness, and he isn't the only one who offer one of his own weapon/stuff. Greninja offers his water shuriken, Incineroar offers a heart-shaped flame, and Samurott offers his shallop from his first evolution. Also, if that makes you feel any better, some of the other gifts aren't that valuable either.

Well, Serperior is snobby, so it fits. Venusaur was supposed to beΒ like 
I intended the grass starters to try to impress Serperior, Venusaur and Meganium, the fire ones to Delphox and the water ones to Primarina.

Well judging by the fighting types, emboar/infernape/and blaziken they're pretty damaged up
just to impress the delphox. Although greninja and sceptile are the ones being injured too
but I'm guessing just how much they gone through to impress their crush.

If you pay attention, you'll understand why some of those specific starters have bandages and injuries, while the other doesn't. It's a Pokemon thing that only fans will understand.
