This is from a couple years back. This was a fire a bit close to home, close enough for evacuations in the residences in the hills. Hell, the whole town is in the mountains. Not my best job here but it wasn't until recently that I saw that I actually captured the tanker mid dump. The smoke was so dense it disappeared and I just pointed the camera where I thought it might be and snapped away. I had to heavily edit the photo to get the plane to appear in the shot.
This was from the 2013 Sharp Fire in the Angeles National Forest. This area has been in a drought for years and another fire came very close to the town of Wrightwood, California, USA, again in 2015.
