Description After the First Tiberium War, the LSAW -and other systems based upon the AR-40 platform- became less and less effective. With the fall of almost every country on the planet -outside of Russia and China, all the remaining nations evolved from either GDI, the Brotherhood of Nod (comparable to Confucianism here), and the Cabal- in the aftermath of the First Tiberium War, GDI had to develop the new weapon internally. The GDI Modular Weapon System Program produced a finely crafted series of weapons based upon a single frame. With a few changes, any weapon can become another. This system would prove unwaveringly effective during the Second Resource War and the GDI-Russo War during the later half of the 21st Century.

The SAW variant of the weapon is a powerful tool in combat. the 5.5x40mm round in its telescopic polymer case was considered a vast improvement over the LSAW/SAW's 8.2x38mm telescopic polymer cased round. This is mostly due to the advent of nanotech based production and the refinement of high-density material machining. Like everything based on the AR-40, it uses the electro-pulse firing system ala the Colonial Marines' M41 series of pulse rifles but with a rate of fire of 700 rounds/minute sustained. The weapon is shown here with a 200 box magazine with 100 and 400 round box magzines available in addition to a disintergrating link adapter for long-term defensive engagements.

Thanks to its modular nature, the weapon could fit a variety of optics, accuracy enhancements, a full-blown hyper-velocity round conversion kit, and various electroncis. Shown here the weapon is fitted with the 'Smart' ACOG scope, an angled foregrip, and a bipod.
