I kind of like the story possibilities in this piece. She waiting for someone, but they're late. Is she a princess? Harem Girl? Is she waiting on a lover? or mistress? It was fun to think about as I drew it. What do you think the story is?Related content

The story, yes, let my try Mitch:
"She used to be a star ship's captain of the Federation, some historic period in Star-Trek's universe. Her crew was deep inside alien territory, in a spy mission; violating a hundred terms of the existing armistice treaty. All was going well, until an incident whit an unknown alien in deep space destroy ship's engines beyond repair and let them unable to travel faster than light.
They could ask for help, but do so would expose their complicated diplomatic position; possibly even precipitate a War that Federation could not win. They could use their advanced technology to conquer a continent, or some island, in the nearest inhabited planet; but that would violate the first law of Federation. Worse: they could not save their ship without risk discovery, and the more technology they take more chance they had to alert this alien advanced hostile empire, if some patrol happen to pass scanning the surroundings. Therefore cap. Valkyrie here took the only decision legally possible and strategically permissible.
All the crew had to be teleported to planet's surface, dressed in local costumes, to be integrated in the local primitive culture.
Thing is, to Gorean like local culture men traveling can be free hunters and merchants living a nomadic lifestyle, but women without a home inside a near City Nation can only be one thing: slave cargo. No one could believe that captain would actually integrate herself in this society in such a position. Everybody assumed she would either pretend to be a men for as long as possible, or choose some official in the ship to pretend to be her free companion, again, for as long as possible.
But Val, the brave captain, left behind to be the last one to abandon the ship, did dressed herself like a local slave dancer before she transported herself to the meeting point in the surface; and waited patiently until the rest of her crew nearby shows up. (most people here too distant, because of course, the crew had to be spread in order to have some chance to go unnoticed by the natives.
That is Val in the exact moment her "number one" out of vegetation and saw her waiting at the ruins of some ancient forum. Meanwhile in the sky, their spaceship was exploding."

Alright then....
She's neither a harem girl nor a princess, but a queen! She's promised herself to a neighboring kingdoms ruler as a marriage to make their kingdoms stronger. However, one of the promises her erstwhile suitor made for her was to have a statue made in her honor. The way I see it, the statue she's leaning against is either the one he made and she's not too happy about it, or it's the statue of a past lover that she's found out about and she's... let's say miffed. However, she is woman of typically good humor so the expression on her face is not one of anger but rather an expression of "Really? Is this how we're going to play this game?"
That's my two cents. Of course I COULD go on, but you don't have time to read all of what I could come up with!
